The random drink generator has the old standards that each bartender should know-- though they may not be happy to muddle mint leaves for a Mojito or dig out a blender for a Pi##copy##ntilde;a Colada.

If you're making cocktails at home, make sure you're ready with standard liquor cabinet supplies. You probably won't have Chambord but at least have mixers like grenadine, bitters, vermouth, club soda and the usual liquors.
